Houseboat fairies
Shrinagar, Kashmir
Each time I visited Kashmir I stayed at the same houseboat on Lake Dal. The girl on the left is a daughter of my host, and the girl on the right is her cousin. Like most kids in this part of the world, they shared in the chores of the family business -- in this case running a houseboat inn. The bedding of the family is folded up neatly behind them. They were incredibly generous.
